Am I eligible?

You are likely to be eligible for the Long Term funding stream of TDS if:

• You are a non-clinical staff member of an eligible Indigenous Health Organisation, or a clinical staff member transitioning into a non-clinical role
• The course you have selected targets one or more of the key knowledge/skills/competency bases identified by the TDS
• You have been employed in the same position with an OATSIH funded health organisation for no less than six months and have a current performance or career plan that is consistent with the selected course

What kind of courses does the TDS Long Term stream cover?

You may apply for funding to undertake higher education or training sector courses that are:

• between Certificate IV and Masters Degree level
• Accredited under the Australian Qualifications Framework
• Targeted at one or more of the key knowledge/skills/competency bases identified by the TDS

Please note that the TDS is provided under the Establishing Quality Health Standards Budget measure which lapses on 30 June 2011.  Applicants should be aware that any study costs incurred beyond this date cannot be covered by the TDS.
