Course fees

Course fees will be paid on behalf of successful applicants by the Administrator, directly to the nominated educational institution

Learning Resource Materials

Funding may be made available to contribute towards the cost of learning resources including:

  • text books
  • reading bricks
  • learning modules
  • essay writing/study planning guides
  • any other course related study materials (including audiovisual material)

Funding contributions towards learning resource materials are based on the type of course undertaken. More information on learning resource funding amounts can be found in the TDS Funding Guidelines.

Tutorial Assistance

Funding may be made available to contribute to the costs of individual tutorial assistance associated with the higher education or training.

Funding contributions towards tutorial assistance are based on the type of course undertaken. More information on the maximum amount of tutorial assistance that may be provided can be found in the TDS Funding Guidelines.

Travel

Funding may be made available towards the cost of reasonable travel associated with higher education or training course attendance.

What are reasonable travel costs?

The Application Form requires applicants to complete a travel plan which includes a breakdown of the travel required for successful completion of the course.

Daily rates will be made available to the successful applicant, determined by the Administrator.

If the travel allowance exceeds $300 per annum, the expenditure must be acquitted to the Administrator.
